‘Renewable energy companies to establish social development fund’

AMMAN — Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Saleh Kharabsheh on Tuesday proposed the establishment of a social development fund to be supported by renewable energy companies for local community development, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The proposal came during Kharabsheh's meeting with representatives of renewable energy companies. The participants agreed to draft the fund system in a week's time.
The fund will be tasked with intensifying companies' efforts in the field of social responsibility to expand beneficiaries and realise sustainable development, Petra reported.
