Razzaz conveys Jordan’s keenness on stronger ties to Saudi monarch

AMMAN — Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz on Wednesday received Prime Minister Omar Razzaz in Riyadh, who stressed Jordan's keenness to strengthen the "historic" bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, held at Al Salam Palace, Razzaz conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah’s greetings to the Saudi king, wishing him good health and the Saudi people further progress and prosperity, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The prime minister also stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to enhance cooperation with Saudi Arabia in political, economic, security and military fields, in a bid to realise the visions and common interests of the two neighbouring countries.

The premier voiced Amman’s keenness, under His Majesty’s leadership, to sustain communication and coordination with Riyadh on all Arab and regional issues, and the means to address challenges facing Arab and Islamic nations, according to Petra.

King Salman conveyed his greetings to King Abdullah and expressed his appreciation for the important role His Majesty plays in developing Saudi-Jordanian relations.

The Saudi king also voiced his interest in developing relations between the two countries in a way that serves the interests of both countries and peoples.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, General Intelligence Department Director Maj. Gen. Adnan Jundi, the King's Adviser for Economic Affairs Mohammad Eses and the Jordanian ambassador in Riyadh attended the meeting along with several Saudi senior officials.
