Razzaz attends King Abdullah II Award for Physical Fitness event

AMMAN — Deputising for HRH Crown Prince Hussein, Minister of Education Omar Razzaz on Thursday attended a ceremony to honour winners of the King Abdullah II Award for Physical Fitness, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The award’s 13th session witnessed the participation of more than 600,000 students from 2,704 schools across the Kingdom. Razzaz presented awards to 40 students, who won the first and second places in the age group of 9-17, in addition to four students with disabilities.
The minister said that the award seeks to encourage young Jordanians to be more physically active and lead healthier lives, noting that sport classes in schools will be given more attention, taking into consideration the physical and moral benefits of sports on students.
