AMMAN — Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wissam Rabadi on Sunday held a video conference with the members of the Jordan INGO Forum (JIF) for international non-governmental organisations.
During the meeting, which included members of 60 organisations, the minister highlighted the importance of unifying efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, which requires the cooperation of official and civil society institutions, according to a ministry statement.
He also drew attention to channelling the efforts of these organisations according to national priorities and needs, notably supporting the Health Ministry’s efforts and underpinning the social protection sector through providing aid.
The representatives briefed the gathering on the plans of their organisations to work towards empowering those in need, affirming that providing health aid to Jordanians and refugees is a “special priority” amid these exceptional circumstances.
