AMMAN – On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Jordan’s Independence Day and the 100th anniversary of the Great Arab Revolt, Her Majesty Queen Rania on Tuesday visited the Safout Secondary School for Girls to celebrate the nation’s milestones with faculty and students.
School Principal Maha Asfour joined Her Majesty while watching a performance by the Girl Scouts, and listening to students sing national songs.
Queen Rania also toured an exhibition displaying mosaic, pottery and woven handicrafts made by students participating in the “Madrasati” programme, which is implemented by the “Madrasati” initiative.

The Safout Secondary School for Girls has 230 students and is run by the Ministry of Education.
It is one of 98 schools in Madaba, Balqa, Jerash and Ajloun that have benefited the “Madrasati” initiative’s second phase.
