AMMAN — Her Majesty Queen Rania on Tuesday visited the condolences house of the Hiyari family in Salt, some 35km northwest of Amman.
The Queen expressed her condolences to the family of Corporal Omar Hiyari, who was killed in the terror attack on the General Intelligence Department (GID) office in Ain Al Basha, near the Baqaa Refugee Camp, on Monday.
In addition to Hiyari, the victims were identified as Sergeant Loay Zyoud, Corporal Hani Qaaideh, Private Ahmad Abdul Karim Harahsheh and Lance Corporal Mahmoud Awamleh.
The GID arrested the main suspect in the attack later on Monday.
Preliminary findings indicated that the attack was a lone-wolf incident, the government said, but investigations are still ongoing.
The government on Tuesday issued a gag order banning the publication of any reports about Monday’s attack
