Queen hosts luncheon to honour elderly mothers

AMMAN — Her Majesty Queen Rania recently hosted a luncheon in Amman honouring elderly mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day.
During Her Majesty’s past visits to a number of nursing homes in the capital, many of the women she met expressed their desire to enjoy a day outside the centres.
Queen Rania treated the ladies to the luncheon to fulfil their wishes and honour them on Mother’s Day, according to a statement from Her Majesty's office.
