AMMAN — Her Majesty Queen Rania on Sunday attended the King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s (KHCF) Hope Gala dinner, marking 10 years of achievements of the King Hussein Cancer Centre (KHCC).
Several Royal family members, including Their Royal Highnesses Prince Talal, special adviser to the King, and Princess Ghida Talal, KHCF chairperson, attended the gala dinner.
Speaking at the event, Princess Ghida thanked Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania for supporting the centre and foundation.
“Since His Majesty appointed me chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation 14 years ago, I have not once turned to His Majesty for help for the centre, big or small, that he has not responded to immediately, in every possible way,” she said.
Princess Ghida also thanked the event’s sponsors for their contributions to the fight against cancer. Over 700 guests and officials attended the fundraising event, in addition to many cancer survivors who have received treatment at KHCC.
