QAIA witnessed 4% drop in aircraft movement in November — CARC

AMMAN — Aircraft movement via Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) decreased by 4 per cent in November compared with October, Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) Chief Commissioner Captain Haitham Misto said on Thursday.
Misto told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that November witnessed a total of 4,947 flights, increasing the total number of flights since the beginning of the year to 41,632. The flights connected the Kingdom with 64 direct international destinations.
Passenger movement in November dropped by 13 per cent compared with October, the CARC chief commissioner said.
Misto added that arrivals constituted 52 per cent of the total number of passengers of around 470,000, noting that the total number of passengers since the beginning of the year reached some 4.089 million.
