QAIA breaks January 2017 passenger record

AMMAN — During the first month of this year, Queen Alia International Airport welcomed 624,207 passengers, marking an increase of 8.2 per cent in year-to-year passenger numbers compared with January 2017, according to a statement by the Airport International Group.
In January this year, the airport also registered 5,672 aircraft movements (ACM) as opposed to 5,819 ACM in 2017, marking a 2.5 per cent year-on-year drop. Meanwhile, cargo figures increased by 14.8 per cent as QAIA handled 8,074 tonnes of cargo compared to 7,036 tonnes during the same month last year.
