Public Works minister, Baghdad mayor talk investment cooperation

AMMAN — Public Works and Housing Minister Yahya Kisbi on Wednesday expressed the readiness of the ministry and the contracting sector to offer all types of support to Iraq in implementing 2021 projects.

Kisbi’s remarks came during a meeting with Baghdad Mayor Alaa Maen, during which they discussed means to enhance investment aspects in Baghdad to contribute to developing the service aspects, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Maen reviewed projects that the Baghdad Municipality is scheduled to implement this year, noting that Jordanian investors and contractors will have priority for their expertise in the field. Kisbi also met with Muhammad Aani, head of the Iraqi reconstruction fund, and reviewed the crisis that Iraq went through at the level of infrastructure and the damage incurred by the economy.
