Public debt stands at JD30.194 billion at end of October — Finance ministry

AMMAN — The total public debt increased to JD30.194 billion in the first 10 months of 2019, constituting 96.9 per cent of GDP at the end of October.
The monthly financial bulletin issued by the Ministry of Finance indicated that the existing balance of external debt increased by about JD404 million to reach JD12.491 billion, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
While the total internal public debt increased by JD1.482 billion to reach JD17.703 billion by the end of October.
The bulletin indicated that the public budget deficit amounted to JD1.133 billion at the end of October, while public revenues increased by 1.6 per cent to reach JD6.045 billion.
The bulletin also indicated that the volume of public expenditures increased by JD371 million to reach JD7.178 billion at the end of October, while total public revenues amounted to JD6.045 billion.
