PSUT celebrates silver jubilee batch of graduates

AMMAN — HRH Princess Sumaya, chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), on Wednesday presided over the graduation of the 25th class, the silver jubilee batch, from PSUT. 

During the ceremony, held at Al Hussein Youth City’s Prince Hamza Hall, the princess congratulated the graduates and thanked all those who had contributed to this achievement, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. 

The princess reminisced on the university’s journey and its foundation as an academic branch of the Royal Scientific Society to achieve the vision of its founder HRH Prince Hassan, commending the contribution of the ceremony’s guest of honour, Mahmoud Oueida, in helping PSUT reach its “distinguished status”. 

“You carry the name of a pioneering university in the field of technology and that boasts distinguished achievements,” Princess Sumaya said, addressing the graduates, calling on them to be “ambassadors” of the university and work to achieve His Majesty King Abdullah’s aspirations for Jordanian citizens. 

In a speech during the ceremony, PSUT President Mashhour Rifai briefed attendees on the university’s most notable achievements, which include ranking first for five consecutive years, among public universities, with regards to qualification exam scores and the extension of PSUT’s accreditation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology for the next six years.
