AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Tuesday launched the “Together, We Arrive Safely” campaign to raise public awareness of road safety.
PSD Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh has directed all police units to engage the public in a participatory campaign to promote a traffic safety culture based on adherence to traffic rules to avoid violations, especially dangerous offences, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The PSD said in a statement that human error accounts for 98 per cent of road traffic accidents, noting that these accidents could be avoided by obeying traffic rules.
