PSD chief, British ambassador discuss police, public security cooperation

AMMAN — Director of the Public Security Department (PSD) Maj. Gen. Fadel Hmoud on Wednesday met with British Ambassador to Jordan Edward Oakden to discuss security cooperation between the two countries.

The discussion went over the prospects of exchanging expertise between the British and Jordanian police forces in the fields of public security and training, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Hmoud reiterated the depth of British-Jordanian ties and the keenness of Jordan to strengthen its relationship with the UK. Oakden reiterated his country’s readiness to boost cooperation in the fields of policing and public security.
