AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Thursday began implementation of Defence Order No. 12 related to seizing vehicles during the curfew and impounding them for 30 days.
The PSD’s spokesperson told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that any person whose vehicle has been impounded for violating the curfew regulations can retrieve their vehicles after paying a fine, regardless of when it was impounded.
The prime minister on Wednesday issued Defence Order No. 12, the second part of which stipulates that vehicles used in first-time violations during the curfew will be impounded for a period of 30 days.
The concerned authority may allow the return of the seized vehicle after the violator or owner provides receipt of the fines resulting from the violation of the curfew order, pledges not to repeat the offence and provides a receipt proving payment of transfer fees or retention fees, if any.
