PSD, Australian Federal Police discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Director General of the Public Security Directorate (PSD) Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh and Australian Federal Police Assistant Commissioner International Command Mike Pannet on Monday discussed means to enhance cooperation in the police, security and training fields.
Hawatmeh referred to "fruitful" cooperation between the PSD and Australian police, which has had a positive outcome in the exchange of police, security and training expertise, noting that the visit of the Australian official aims to open broader prospects for cooperation in the fields of training and combating cross-border crime.
Pennett also commended the level achieved by the PSD and its constant endeavours to upgrade the performance of police in various fields, stressing keenness to expand bilateral cooperation and the exchange of expertise in the fields of training and combating cross-border crime.
