Princess Muna attends opening of healthcare conference

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, HRH Princess Muna on Tuesday attended the opening of the Health Care Accreditation Council’s (HCAC) Fifth Quality Healthcare Conference and Exhibition, titled "Policy and implementation: Partnership towards better outcomes".
Held under the theme "Accreditation and patient safety from the beginning", this year's session focused on considering the quality and safety of patient care as the cornerstone of any process in the medical field, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
HCAC CEO Salma Jaouni, during the ceremony, said that this conference is “aligned with the council's vision” to support the medical sector's institutions and personnel through linking them with international experts.
Conference chairperson and HCAC Vice President Fawzi Hammouri expressed the council's keenness on achieving a “qualitative leap” in the culture of quality healthcare to enhance the Kingdom's competitiveness as a destination for medical tourism.
The conference also features six specialised workshops on improving healthcare services and activating the principles of patient safety, improving leadership and management skills, artificial intelligence implementations in patient safety and the use of lean management in this arena.
The conference is witnessing the participation of 25 local and international experts from the UK, Switzerland, the UAE, Egypt, Lebanon, the US, Turkey, Ireland, Malaysia, Russia, Japan and Saudi Arabia.
