Prince Mired, ministers discuss accessibility plan

AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, on Monday met with Minister of Public Works and Housing Sami Halasa, Municipal Affairs and Transport Minister Walid Masri, Tourism Minister Lina Annab and Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh.
During the meeting, the prince discussed the measures implemented to prepare the 10-year accessibility plan stipulated by the anti-discriminatory law for people with disabilities (Law No. 20 of 2017).
According to the law, the plan must be drafted and implemented by September 2018. The prince called on enhancing the achievements of Jordan in disability-related issues through activating the law.
