AMMAN — The West Asia–North Africa (WANA) Institute and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Middle East and North Africa office held an event to discuss the importance of refugees’ access to higher education and the ways academic research can feed into policy development and humanitarian planning, a statement from the UNHCR said.
The two-day roundtable event, held on April 26 and 27, was attended by WANA’s Chairman HRH Prince Hassan, who thanked UNHCR for its ongoing work in the region and for renewing discussions on refugee-related concepts.
