Prince Feisal opens branch of AFCEA

AMMAN — HRH Prince Feisal on Wednesday inaugurated the branch of the American Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) in Jordan, which is the association's first branch in the Middle East, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The AFCEA's executive director in Jordan, Rula Amouri, said that the association aims to develop the technology and knowledge sectors, by spreading awareness of recent developments in these sectors, leading to the “optimal use” of technology and knowledge, which in return will lead to a “safe society”.

The launch ceremony was held at the King Hussein Business Park and witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the AFCEA and the King Hussein University. On the sidelines of the ceremony, a panel discussion was held on the future of cyber threats and the latest ways to protect data and banks from piracy and security breaches.
