Prince Feisal inaugurates 2015 Hashemite Scientific Councils

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, HRH Prince Feisal on Friday inaugurated the activities of this year’s Hashemite Scientific Councils, held under the theme “Blasphemy Accusations and their Dangers”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The opening session gathered Muslim scholars and Islamic law professors from Jordan, and other Arab and Muslim countries. The attendees discussed the takfiri thought, its history, emergence, dangers, and how to fight it.

Towards the end of the meeting, Prince Feisal presented plaques to a number of Jordanians who contributed to the development of the society by conducting charity projects, Petra reported.

The Awqaf Ministry organises the Hashemite Scientific Councils during Ramadan every year.
