Price of chicken set at maximum of JD2 per kg

AMMAN — The Industry, Trade and Supply Ministry on Monday agreed with the Jordanian Poultry Producers Union and companies producing chicken around the Kingdom to set the price of one kilogramme of chicken to a maximum of JD2, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported, adding that the ministry’s inspection teams will ensure sellers are abiding by the decision.
During a meeting with the union and the companies, headed by Industry and Trade Minister Yarub Qudah, the “unjustified” price hike of chicken was discussed and the ministry urged consumers to call 06/5661176 in cases where chicken is sold at higher prices so that necessary measures can be taken.
