AMMAN — The Jordan Press Association’s (JPA) council on Wednesday decided on the reformation of the council's assisting committees, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Each of the the press freedom committee, the external affairs committee, the social committee, Palestine committee, and the women committee include seven members, while the cultural committee includes three members and the anti-naturalisation committee includes two only.
JPA President Rakan Saaideh said that the reformation provides an opportunity for members who are willing to join the committees to expand the base of their participation, calling on the committees to set meaningful plans and activities.
He noted that the reformation process will continue to complete the committees' needed number in addition to the formation of committees that serve other governorates including one in Aqaba in addition to one for the northern governorates and one for the southern governorates which were already formed two weeks ago.
