Power consumption in Kingdom rises by 5.1%

AMMAN — The Kingdom’s consumption of electricity in 2015 stood at 18,689 gigawatt hours, compared to 17,764 gigawatt hours in 2014, marking a 5.1 per cent increase, National Electric Power Company Production Planning Director Amin Zaghal said Wednesday.
He told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the increase reflects the population growth and economic development in the country.
