Police take preventive measures for Tawjihi celebrations

AMMAN — The Public Security Department (PSD) on Thursday said it had taken preventive measures to maintain order and security during the result announcement of the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination’s (Tawjihi) on Saturday.

The PSD urged the public to cooperate with authorities and respect the law when celebrating, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The security plan will be enforced through different PSD departments and will focus on the deployment of patrols, security stations and plainclothes officers.

The department said that it will take most severe legal and administrative measures against those who disregard the risks of "reckless celebrations",
