AMMAN — Police are searching for suspects in connection with the killing of a man in a “revenge” shooting in Madaba on Tuesday evening while the victim was walking in the street and was shot by unidentified assailants, officials said on Wednesday.
“We have a good idea regarding the identity of the suspects and we believe that the motive behind the shooting is revenge,” Police Spokesperson Lt. Col. Amer Sartawi told The Jordan Times.
The police official would not reveal any further details saying only that “the incident is being investigated”.
A senior judicial source told The Jordan Times that the criminal court prosecutor was notified about the incident.
“We have been notified by police that a man was shot, probably for revenge reasons. Once the suspects are apprehended we will question them and bring criminal charges against them,” the judicial source added.
