Police chief meets US ambassador

AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Atef Saudi on Tuesday discussed police cooperation with US Ambassador to Jordan Alice G. Wells, the PSD said. Saudi said cooperation was ongoing in all fields of police work between Jordan and the US, which he said reflected the depth of bilateral relations, according to a PSD statement.

Meanwhile, Wells commended the advanced level of police work in Jordan. Also on Tuesday, Gendarmerie Department Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh met with Wells to discuss improving the department’s capabilities to deal with emergencies.
