Police chief, Iraq ambassador discuss security cooperation

AMMAN — Director of Public Security Directorate (PSD) Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh on Wednesday discussed with Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Haider Mansour means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries' security apparatuses.
Hawatmeh, during the meeting, stressed the ongoing coordination between the two countries in the fields of training, information exchange and fighting crime, highlighting the Royal directives towards opening up to Arab states, including Iraq, notably offering assistance and enhancing communication channels to improve security work, the Jordan New Agency, Petra, reported.
The diplomat lauded the Jordanian-Iraqi security cooperation and coordination, expressing keenness to expand cooperation in the security and police fields.
