Police chief attends civil protection academy workshop opening

AMMAN — Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obaidallah Maaytah attended the opening of engineering workshops at the Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Academy of Civil Protection. Part of the Engineering and Administrative Sciences Departments, the workshops are expected to have a positive impact on both graduates' skills and the academic prestige of the academy. The academy, established in 2009, is specialised in civil defence and civil protection, and the PSD supports its growth by providing the necessary logistical and human resources to enhance its academic performance in both practical and applied dimensions. During the event, Maaytah was briefed on the benefits that the workshops will offer to students, in addition to the comprehensive plans, modern specialisations and up-to-date curricula, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
