PM says gov’t to hold regular meetings with House blocs

AMMAN — The Lower House’s Reform bloc on Thursday met with Prime Minister Hani Mulki and other ministers.
At the meeting MP Abdullah Akaileh, head of the coalition, called for boosting cooperation with the government in the best interest of the country and its citizens.
Bloc members agreed that the biggest concern in the current phase is the economic situation, and stressed the need not to take measures that could increase burdens on citizens, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Mulki announced that such meetings with blocs will be held regularly, expressing the government’s keenness to cooperate with Parliament to overcome challenges.
