AMMAN — Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Tuesday stressed that Jordan's security is an integral part of Saudi Arabia's security, adding that both kingdoms' security supports their efforts towards enhancing the regional peace and stability.

King Salman made the remarks in his residence at Al Nadwa Palace in Amman, during a meeting with Prime Minister Hani Mulki.

The king and Mulki also reviewed bilateral relations at all levels, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Saudi monarch highlighted the brotherly ties with His Majesty King Abdullah, voicing his relief for the development achieved in the bilateral relations.

Mulki expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia's stances that support Jordan, voicing keenness on expanding levels of cooperation to best serve the interests of both countries and peoples.

Earlier in the day, King Salman met with Senate President Faisal Fayez and expressed Riyadh's commitment to supporting Jordan, Petra reported.

The Saudi king and Fayez reviewed the prevailing conditions in the region, where King Salman called for continued efforts in the war against terrorism, which has no relation to Islam.

For his part, Fayez voiced Jordan's pride in the "advanced level" of Saudi-Jordanian relations, describing them as "historical, profound and solid".

Based on the fact that Saudi Arabia's security and stability are part of Jordan's national security, the Kingdom refuses the intervention of any country in the internal affairs of Saudi Arabia or any other Gulf country, the Senate president added.

The Saudi monarch also met with Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh and praised the level of coordination between the two kingdoms over various Arab and international causes, according to Petra.

Tarawneh confirmed the identical political stances of both countries, which are based on moderation and realism that proved to be the perfect solution to regional crises.
