PM inaugurates ICU unit for COVID patients at Al Bashir Hospital

AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Monday inaugurated Al Bashir dedicated coronavirus ICU unit. Highlighting the importance of the new unit with a capacity of 70 beds, the premier said the new unit is ready to receive COVID-19 patients as of Monday, noting that in the post-coronavirus period, the new ward will contribute to alleviating overcrowdedness in public hospitals, especially at Al Bashir Hospital.
Health Minister Nathir Obeidat stressed the readiness of the new department to receive COVID-19 patients during this stage, pointing out that the new ICU unit is fully equipped with respirators and monitors.
