Welcoming Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al Mohammed Al Sabah and an accompanying delegation, Khasawneh said that “Jordanian-Kuwaiti ties are a model for relations between nations, thanks to the interest and care of His Majesty King Abdullah and his brother Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah”.

During the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Kuwaiti Ambassador Aziz Al Daihani, the premier said that the challenges facing the Arab countries require joint efforts to maximise joint Arab action and rebuild inter-Arab relations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Khasawneh also commended the existing cooperation between Jordan and Kuwait, and the Kingdom’s keenness to attract more Kuwaiti investments and provide the necessary facilities to investors, pointing out that despite the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on various sectors, it has created opportunities for promising sectors in which the two countries can invest.

The Kuwaiti foreign minister affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen relations with Jordan, noting that the Kuwaiti leadership, government and people appreciated the participation of His Majesty King Abdullah and HRH Crown Prince Hussein in offering condolences over the passing of Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
