AMMAN — A government delegation, headed by Secretary-General of the Planning Ministry Marwan Rifai, participated in the 8th Open Government Partnership (OGP) Global Summit, which took place in the Estonian capital Tallinn on Wednesday and Thursday. The summit, titled "Digital Governance and the Values of Open Government in Consolidating Democracy", brought together the OGP initiative's member states and international partner institutions to enhance transparency and good governance, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Jordan is the first Arab country to meet the criteria for joining the initiative, which was launched in 2011. The criteria require member states to create action plans that include voluntary commitments to enhancing transparency, combating corruption, empowering citizens and improving government services using modern technology.
