AMMAN — The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation on Monday announced that it had joined the UN75 initiative launched by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres at the beginning of the year to mark the global body’s 75th anniversary.
The initiative will allow the public to take part in a global dialogue and participate in a one-minute survey, through www.UN75.online, which will enable the UN to familiarise itself with people's priorities and challenges and take them into consideration while preparing its programmes, according to a ministry statement.
The dialogue's minutes along with the survey's results will be reported to world leaders and UN officials as part of the General Assembly's 75th session scheduled in September.
Planning Minister Wissam Rabadi, in a televised message, highlighted the role of the UN in bridging gaps, ending conflicts and achieving justice and security for all.
