AMMAN — Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh on Tuesday held a meeting with representatives of the Jordan Strategy Forum (JSF) to review the draft law of organising the investment environment.

The meeting, which saw the participation of several ministers, is part of a series of consultations with representatives of the private sector to discuss top issues in the bill, according to a ministry statement released on Wednesday.

These consultations started upon directives by Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh to discuss top topics that interest the private sector prior to reaching the final draft of the bill.

The draft law is a top priority for the government’s economic work during 2021-2023, where it seeks to develop and enhance the Kingdom’s investment environment. The government is planned to refer the daft law to Parliament during its extraordinary session that is scheduled to commence on July 20.
