Pharmacists association earthquake relief fund reaches $3m

AMMAN — Donations gathered by the Jordanian Pharmacists Association (JPA) for relief efforts for those affected by the earthquake in Syria, in cooperation with pharmaceutical companies and warehouses, amounted to $3 million, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
JPA Director Muhammad Ababneh said that the association will coordinate with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation to send donations to Syria.
He stressed that the JPA will continue collecting donations and that Jordan's leadership, government and people are accustomed to standing by Syria and providing them with relief whenever necessary. The JPA noted that donations are expected to reach $4 million.
