AMMAN — Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of State Musa Maaytah on Thursday said the Decentralisation Law allows people who complete 25 years of age to run for governorate council elections.
Inaugurating a two-day training course for trainers on decentralisation, Maaytah urged young people to participate in the governorate council elections, which will be held on the same day of the municipal elections, scheduled for August 15, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Some 40 participants from the ministries of political and parliamentary affairs, municipal affairs and interior, along with civil society institutions are taking part in the course.
