PDTRA discusses measures to ensure water safety

AMMAN — Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) on Wednesday, during a meeting chaired by President of PDTRA Faris Briezat, discussed ways to develop the water situation in the Petra district, and enhance supervision of water facilities and tanks.
Briezat stressed the need to address water supply issues for the entire district, ensuring the constant safety of water in wells, tanks and facilities serving the region's residents and visitors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He emphasised the importance of enforcing the law and dealing with everyone legally, taking rapid regulatory measures to prevent emergencies and ensure public safety in the region.
He also highlighted the role of the Health Directorate and the Public Safety Committee in overseeing and tightening control over both new and existing tourism facilities to ensure water safety through regular inspections.
