Passport department to stay open during elections

AMMAN — The Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD) announced that it will be open to the public on Tuesday, despite the official holiday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Public Relations and Media Director at the CSPD, Malek Khasawneh, said that the department’s employees will hand in the smart IDs for citizens who have applied for the cards and have not yet received them.
Work hours will be from 8am until 7pm, to enable citizens to participate in the municipal and local elections, Petra added.
