One teacher dead, nine injured in Aqaba traffic accident

AMMAN — A woman died and nine people were injured in a traffic accident on Sunday in Aqaba, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, quoted a source from the Education Ministry as saying.
The 10 were working as General Secondary Education Certificate Examination monitors at schools in Qreiqra in the Southern Jordan Valley. The source said the injured were taken to Ghor Safi Hospital, and the students’ answer booklets were transferred safely and according to standards.
Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Minister of Education Mohammad Thneibat checked on the injured and instructed the education director in the Southern Jordan Valley to follow up on their condition. Thneibat also expressed condolences over the death of the teacher.
