One dead, 20 injured in Balqa bus-car collision

AMMAN — One man died and 20 were injured on Wednesday when a public transport bus collided with a small vehicle in the Hommur area in Balqa, 35km northwest of Amman.
The Civil Defence Department’s (CDD) media office said that CDD personnel provided first aid to the injured and transferred them to Al Salt Public Hospital and Royal Medical Services, adding that they are in moderate medical condition, except for one who was listed critical, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Director of Balqa Health Directorate, Wael Azbal, said that Salt hospital received 11 cases including the deceased, while the rest were treated in the emergency department.
