No comprehensive curfew on Thursday — gov’t

AMMAN — There will be no comprehensive lockdown on Thursday, which had been already announced a public holiday marking Prophet Mohammad’s birthday, Minister of State for Media Affairs Ali Ayed said on Tuesday.
Ayed, who is also the government spokesperson, told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the fact that there will be no lockdown on Thursday requires the public to continue adhering to health protocols and avoiding visits and gatherings.
The minister, responding to queries about a possible curfew on Thursday, added that the comprehensive lockdown until the end of the year will be limited to Fridays, except for the prayer time, as announced earlier.
