New Jordanian ambassador presents credentials to Germany’s president

AMMAN — Ambassador Yousef Bataineh on Tuesday presented his credentials to Germany’s President Frank Walter Steinmeier as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Jordan to Germany, during an official ceremony that took place at the Bellevue Palace in Berlin, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ceremony was attended by senior German officials, including the German foreign minister. During his meeting with President Steinmeier, Bataineh conveyed the greetings and well wishes of His Majesty King Abdullah to the German president and people. For his part, President Steinmeier asked Ambassador Bataineh to convey his greetings to His Majesty, expressing pride in the “solid friendship” with the Jordanian leadership.
He also highlighted Germany’s well-established strategic relations with the Kingdom, commending the level of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
