Nationwide anti-littering campaign launched

AMMAN — The Ministry of Environment, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Royal Department for Environment Protection and Tourism on Wednesday, launched a nationwide anti-littering campaign.
Titled "Keep your bag in your vehicle", the campaign includes distributing car trash bags in all governorates to discourage drivers and passengers from throwing garbage randomly, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Environment Minister Muawieh Radaideh on Thursday said that environmental protection is essential for sustainable development, expressing the ministry's commitment to raising awareness of instilling the proper values and practices.
