National institutions mourn officers killed in raid

AMMAN — Several national institutions on Monday mourned the death of three police officers killed earlier in the day during a raid on the hideout of suspects involved in the killing of Brig. Gen. Abdulrazzaq Dalabeeh on Friday.

The Prime Ministry mourned the death of the police officers and expressed deepest condolences for the fallen officers, and wished five others who were injured during the raid a speedy recovery, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Prime Ministry also stressed that it will take a “no tolerance” approach when enforcing the law against all who try to tamper with the Kingdom's security and perpetrate attacks on security personnel as well as public and private property.

The Senate also mourned the death of the security personnel and expressed condolences to their families and the entire homeland, stressing that perpetrators of this "cowardly terrorist act" will be held responsible, Petra added.

The Lower House mourned the fallen officers and stressed that it will continue to support security apparatuses and the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army in their operations that seek to maintain the security and stability of the country.

The General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions also mourned the death of police officers and expressed rejection of all violence and attempts to tamper with national security and attack legal sovereignty, according to Petra.

The Amman Chamber of Commerce mourned the death of the security personnel and expressed condolences to their families and voiced solidarity with security apparatuses. The chamber also denounced the “heinous crime”. 

The Greater Amman Municipality and the Iftaa Department also mourned the death of the security officers who lost their lives while preserving the security of the homeland and expressed deepest condolences to their families and the nation.
