AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Omar Razzaz on Wednesday issued directives to raise the national flag on all ministries, official departments, institutions and public places to mark the 74th Independence Day, which falls on next Monday.
The premier also urged citizens to raise the national flag at their homes in celebration of the national occasion.
Razzaz stressed that this move “embodies the meaning of independence”, through which Jordanians recall the “march of achievement, progress and nation-building, and continue the steady pace towards a better future for Jordan”.
The occasion marks the end of the British mandate over Jordan in 1946.
