Nasser signs Balqa sewage project agreement

AMMAN — Water Minister Hazem Nasser on Monday signed an agreement to implement studies, designs and tender documents for the sewage project of north and northeast Balqa Governorate at a total cost of 1 million euros, funded by a grant from the French Development Agency (AFD), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The signing ceremony was attended by AFD Manager in Jordan Serge Snrech and several officials from the water sector.
The water minister said that the agreement is part of his ministry’s strategy for the sewage projects recently endorsed by the ministry, noting that the north and northeast sewage project in Balqa Governorate is estimated at a cost of more than JD70 million and that, under the agreement, all studies and designs will be made for the project to start next year.
