AMMAN — National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) Director General Nizar Haddad and Regional Representative for the Middle East at the French Development Agency (AFD) Catherine Bonnaud on Saturday discussed means to enhance cooperation in several agricultural endeavours.
Haddad said that the AFD is a "real partner" in developing the agricultural entrepreneurship and innovation incubator at NARC through the Smart Desert project led by the International Union for Conservation of Nature in cooperation with other partners, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He added that the "big aspirations" of Sustainable Development Goals can only be achieved through fruitful cooperation with partners. Bonnaud noted that the incubator is a "Jordanian success story and a fertile environment to develop creative ideas and execute them”.
The AFD representative in Jordan, Laurent Duriez, stressed that the incubator has contributed to improving the ideas of entrepreneurs, farmers, agricultural engineers and the private sector.
